The Deimos Project
I've been having a problem since installing the Deimos client on Win7 Prof, 64 bit:
Some special characters / keys don't work anymore, or work weird...
If I type a pipe (|) I'll get |´
I can't enter backquotes anymore.
I can't enter accents anymore, like é
It seems to me that Deimos should sniff the keyboard input and then ALWAYS pass it on, WITHOUT interfering with it... This is a serious problem.
Has anyone else experienced these problems, and maybe fixed them?
Messes keyboard up a little...
The problem is known with a few people. It's a really strange bug because I am only sniffing the keyboard status. DirectX for a reason really messes up the keystrokes.
You can do 2 things:
- Delete dinput8.dll and close deimos-dsktop.exe, this fixes it for a few people
- Completely shutdown deimos-dsktop.exe and miss keyboard/mouse statistics until a new version is released

Maybe you could remove the DX dependency from future versions? 
0.8.24 is out, without any DirectX
I've installed the new version, on top of the old version, and my keyboard is still ad messed up as before; |´|´|´|´|´|´:(
Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling Deimos? Perhaps not all files were overwritten
Tried uninstalling. Only two files were removed: A start menu link and one other not important file. (Two deimos processes were still running after "uninstall").
So i manually removed everything Deimos and rebooted.
That went fine.
Then I installed Deimos 0.8.24 again... And it's still |´|´|´|´|´|´|´|´|´:(
